Matt has been teaching mathematics since 1994. He started at an adjunct instructor at Camden County College in the Fall 1994 semester. While consistently teaching 9-12 credits per semester, Matt earned his Masters degree in Mathematics with specialization in Higher Education from Rowan University. Matt became part of the full-time faculty of Camden County College in the Fall 2000 semester. He specializes in persuading students to assess their own progress in class and developing college and mathematical maturity.

In 2003, Matt created the Taekwondo curriculum at Camden County College, which consists of two levels of martial arts. Thanks to Matt's efforts, hundreds of students enjoyed the opportunity to learn Taekwondo (Korean karate) at the community college.
